Jack Roebuck could not keep the smile off his face as the drapes came off a specially designed Valtra tractor at the Farming to Food Show in London on Thursday (27 September).

The tractor was made up to 12-year-old Jack’s own design and was the winning entry in the Kids Connect Campaign Design a Tractor Competition.



Sponsored by Valtra the competition attracted almost 150 entries. Jack’s was the one the judges felt best met the brief to come up with a design on a farming theme.

Jack, who is a self-confessed tractor nut, travelled with his family from Cheshire to London to see the finished item unveiled by government farming advisor Sir Don Curry.

The Valtra tractor, which will be used by the company, at various shows and events during the Year of Food and Farming proved a real head turner to the hundreds of kids and Londoners visiting the show between City Hall and Tower Bridge.
