Lion Eggs launches traceability website

Ever wondered if the egg you buy is what it says? Consumers can now trace their eggs thanks to a new website launched by Lion Eggs.

By visiting the site consumers can type in the code that appears on their free range, organic or caged eggs and a detailed explanation of the Lion Quality mark and its high standards of food safety is revealed.

FWi tested the code on some supermarket eggs and results showed that the eggs were British Lion Quality, free range and produced on a Lion-registered farm.
