Large Powys holding offers diverse income streams

An amalgam of three farms totalling 736 acres in mid-Wales offers a mix of arable, livestock and poultry income as well as significant residential property and the potential for alternative uses.

Grevodig, Vronganllwyd and Ddole Farms are near Llanbister, in Powys. About 400 acres of the land is in arable crops or temporary grass, on predominantly Grade 3b and 4 land.

This has been growing cereals including winter wheat, winter barley, spring barley and triticale.

The remaining land is in permanent pasture (252 acres) and woodland (56 acres).

Grevodig Farm and Vronganllwyd Farm both have four-bedroom farmhouses and modern livestock buildings, while the broiler unit is at Ddole Farm which has a three-bedroom bungalow and more farm buildings.

The five broiler sheds are heated by individual biomass boilers under the Tier 1 Renewable Heat Incentive, providing a further income stream.

There is a further substantial house at Cwmllechwedd Fawr which also has a self-contained detached cottage which has been used as a holiday let. Two further houses are included in the sale, both of which are let.

The farms are for sale by private treaty with Strutt & Parker, either as a whole for £12.5m or in up to nine lots.
