Meadow Foods to increase milk price by 0.3p/litre from 2014

Dairy Group Meadow Foods will increase the price it pays for milk by 0.3p/litre from 1 January 2014, taking its standard litre price to 32.55p/litre.
The price increase will apply to all of the buyers’ 600 milk producers. The company currently processes more than 560m litres of milk annually from suppliers across the North West, Midlands and north and west Wales.
Meadow Foods is the UK’s largest independently owned dairy group and has factories in Chester, Peterborough and Holme-on-Spalding Moor, producing cream, butter, sweetened condensed milk, anhydrous milk fat, chocolate crumb and cultured products.
