Norfolk arable farm with solar income

A mainly arable farm near Attleborough, Norfolk, earns income from a ground-mounted solar project as well as from arable production.

With about 225 acres of mainly arable land, a five-bedroom house, traditional buildings and barn, the overall guide price for West Farm is £3m as a whole. The holding is also available in up to four lots.

The land at West Farm is contract farmed, growing combinable crops and maize for an adjoining anaerobic digester plant. A high-spec commercial storage building is currently used as a grain store and the farm has a large concrete yard. These offer potential for alternative income subject to planning consent.

Lot two includes the stand-alone PV scheme of about a quarter acre, which earned a net income of about £17,000 last year. The third and fourth lots offer about 215 acres of productive farmland and a general purpose building. (Savills 01603 229 235)
