Public gets access to fresh single farm payment detail

Members of the public will be able to find out how much individual farmers were paid under the CAP during the 2008 scheme year from today (30 April).

DEFRA has updated its website so it shows CAP scheme payments for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales made between 16 October 2007 to 15 October 2008.

The information is being provided to comply with an EU regulation which requires the UK to publish details of recipients of CAP subsidy payments on a single website.

The website allows people to search by name, address, town, postcode and the amount received by an individual business.
