RABDF hosts free dairy collaboration workshops

Dairy farmers can learn about building profitable businesses by working together at a series of free workshops.

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF) has organised meetings in Cheshire, Devon, Somerset and Staffordshire throughout June as part of its Foundation for Collaboration training programme.

At the workshops Promar consultants David Cooke and Neil Adams will outline how to co-operate to make savings and extra profit, and Old Mill Accounting’s Pat Tomlinson will explain the financial side of collaboration.

RABDF chief executive Nick Everington said the workshops are “must-attend” events for farmers facing the challenges of the post-quota milk world.

The events are free to English dairy farmers and are on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 4 June, 10.30am-3pm: Regilbury Park Farm, Winford, Bristol (optional farm walk after 3pm)
  • Tuesday 10 June, 7.30-9pm: Westpoint Centre, Clyst St Mary, Exeter
  • Thursday 12 June, 10.30am-3pm: John Platt Centre for Agriculture, Reaseheath College, Nantwich
  • Monday 16 June, 7.30-9pm: Staffordshire County Showground, West Road, Stafford

Those wanting to attend a workshop must book at least two days in advance by emailing lucymellor@rabdf.co.uk or calling 0845 458 2711.
