Sales rocket for Saturn

SATURN AGRICULTURE has increased its turnover by about £8m to £33m for the year ending June 30, 2004.

The buying group represents farmer-owned groups Framlingham Farmers, Atlas (formerly Cambridge Farmers and West Essex Farmers) Samco & Shrim Farmers, Marcam & MDS Supplies and Dengie Crops.

During the year it was involved in the supply of about £20m of agrochemicals and 100,000t of fertiliser.

A £45,000 surplus after operating costs will be redistributed to members along with more than £600,000 in trading rebates.
