Two smallholdings hit the market

Two smallholdings are for sale near York and Lincoln, both as a whole or in lots. 

The sale of Skelton House Farm (pictured right), Nettleham, near Lincoln, offers a chance to purchase about 93 acres of ploughable grassland with or without house and buildings.

The land is available in two lots – almost 54 acres and 25 acres – priced at £540,000 and £245,000 respectively, including single payment entitlements. The soil is Beccles series grade 3 (fine loamy over clayey soils).

Other lots include a three-bedroom Victorian farmhouse, traditional buildings and 10 acres, a paddock, and a separate bungalow subject to an AOC. The whole is guided at £1.465m. (JH Walter 01522 504 304)

An attractive 62-acre smallholding of mainly Grade 2 land near Marton-cum-Grafton, York, is to be auctioned next month.

Grafton Lodge Lane Farm is offered in four lots – the four-bedroom brick farmhouse plus 9.6 acres (guide price £400,000), and three parcels of land (20.6 acres for £200,000; 27.8 acres for £270,000 and 4.3 acres for £40,000).
