Free training scholarships on offer to Young Farmers

Young Farmers are being offered the chance to win a unique training scholarship, thanks to the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

Two scholarships, worth £500 each, are available to members of the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC).

One opportunity is for someone aged 18 or under, with the other open to anyone who is 21 or younger.

They scholarships are intended for those who want to access land-based training which they might otherwise be unable to do.

The winners will also be provided with the chance to spend a day with a mentor who can support or advise them about career progression.

“This is an exciting opportunity for two members, which will help them pick up vital skills in whatever land-based career they choose to pursue,” said Lynsey Martin, chairman of the NFYFC agri-steering group.

“I would recommend anyone who fits the criteria applies.

“We are grateful to the Worshipful Company of Farmers for their continued support for Young Farmers and their dedication to the future of agriculture.”
