Time to show the world you are a farm champion

The future winners of the 2014 Farmers Weekly Awards are out there now doing a brilliant job for UK farming – we just need to hear about them.
It could be you or a friend or colleague that ends up with the ultimate award in farming. All you need to do is take that first step by making a nomination.
So, if you know a farmer, farmworker or adviser who deserves recognition for the way they have developed their farm business, have a go.
Or why not nominate yourself? You may feel too modest to put your own business forward, but remember a nomination says a huge thanks to all of those who work alongside you to achieve success. It shows you think they’re worth it.
And for those who go on to win at the awards ceremony on 2 October, the benefits can be far-reaching for their businesses and their careers.
Every farmer or business nominated will be contacted by Farmers Weekly and invited to submit a full entry, which sets out the detail of their business’ development.
There are 15 categories to choose from so there is something for everybody. We even have two new categories this year – Farm Employer of the Year and Sustainable Farmer of the Year.
We are looking for farmers from all parts of the UK and from any size of business who can demonstrate technical and business excellence – whatever the enterprise.
The entries that will stand out will be from the people who can paint us a picture of how their business has grown.
Judges will be looking for evidence of how people are applying themselves to the challenges of both today and tomorrow and can demonstrate how they are running profitable, sustainable businesses with a bright future.
Nominating is easy. Call Linda on 020 8652 3304 or nominate online now. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday 30 April.
