Case Farmall U Pro gets makeover
The last Case Farmall model to get a makeover is the Farmall U Pro – a high-spec version of its namesake, the Farmall U. The Basildon firm reckons the Austrian-built ‘Pro’ will appeal to small to medium mixed farms, particularly those doing their fair share of field work.
The basics are the same – a 3.4-litre, four-cylinder Fiat motor that will kick out 95hp, 105hp or 115hp depending on the model you opt for.
Things have been freshened up in the transmission department, though, with 32 speeds available in both directions. 40kph comes at a more economical 1,700rpm, too.
The cab layout is similar to its predecessor – the CS Pro, with black trim all around.
Case reckons about 35% of Farmall Us will be sold in their ‘Pro’ guise. No prices yet, but expect it to cost 10-15% more than the standard version (about £5,000 extra).
