George Moate brings heavy-duty bed tiller to Lamma
A heavy duty powered bed tiller makes its way for the first time on to George Moate’s stand at Lamma.
Designed for use with tractors up to 390hp, the tiller is available in three- and four-bed sizes.
A row of soil loosening tines run ahead of the powered rotor, which has a driveline built to cope with the power delivered by modern high-horsepower tractors. The main gearbox now runs at a 1:1 ratio to reduce torque loads on the output shafts and on the telescopic shafts connecting the gearbox to the outboard rotor drive gears.
