Lamma: Claydon to debut new drill and rolls

Latest additions to the Claydon implement range will be on display. These include the 3m Fertiliser Hybrid drill with its split hopper design which allows 750kg of seed to be held along with a similar volume of fertiliser. Two metering units are installed allowing variable application rates to be achieved.

Claydon will also be showing its 12.3m rolls (pictured) â€“ five 2.5m sections which fold down horizontally for a transport width of 2.85m. Use of 24in breaker rings create a working pressure of 682kg/m and, to help ensure an even pressure across the width of the rolls, there is a hydraulically activated weight transfer system. Requiring 100hp to pull them, the Claydon rolls can cover more than 6ha/hour at a speed of 6kph.
