Visitors to Techneat’s stand can hear about changes the company has made to the Techneat Amistar applicators, which result in more accurate applications of soil fungicide treatments during potato planting.

The company is now fitting a new design of valves and pumping system on Amistar V2 applicators – research had showed the pumping action of the direct injection (DCI) units could result in variable pressure and a pulsating application rate at the delivery nozzle.

The Techneat solution to this problem now regulates the pressure after the DCI unit. Further improvement is achieved by siting the nozzle-mounting systems so there is a more precise targeting of the spray on the soil in the opening share and closing furrow bow-wave.
