Shelbourne Reynolds bulks up hedgecutter range

Contractors shopping for a big hedgecutter can add Shelbourne Reynolds Powerblade HD800 to their options list after the Suffolk company revealed its latest machine.
It is based on the existing HD700 range but comes with a new mainframe design, greater slew arc and uprated oil and cooling capacities over the 700 version.
The three new telescopic models have reach capabilities of 6m, 7m and 8m. There are also two variable forward reach telescopic (VFRT) versions, providing 6.5m and 7.5m reach, plus up to 4.1m forward/rearward travel.

All 800 series machines can be either axle or three-point linkage mounted without any need to modify the mainframe.
The new models also benefit from a bigger slew cylinder that the company believes will help deliver more power, and a greater slew angle to allow the head to be moved further behind the tractor for road travel.
A larger lift cylinder is designed to provide more lift capacity for a wider range of heavier heads.
A new hydraulic tank design with increased oil capacity has also been fitted, along with a bigger cooler and fan.
