Livestock 2013: Find the answers at Livestock Event

Running a modern livestock farm you will be constantly challenged with finding answers to endless questions that affect your business – for example, how do I reduce feed costs? How do I improve herd fertility? How do I finance business expansion?

A visit to this year’s Livestock Event with more than 400 trade stands will provide the answers to these questions, all in one place and in one day. After all, the Livestock Event is not only about doing business, but also about learning, from practical demonstrations on the best ways to trim hooves, to the correct ways to load your mixer wagon. Our numerous technical seminars will cover animal health, feed and business management topics, and we are providing the opportunity to learn best practice on grass growing and forage conservation. If you’re a student and undecided as to which career to pursue, then come and listen to our “A day in the life of…” careers seminar.

For those interested in showing, beef cattle classes will be held at the event this year for the first time as part of the National Charolais Show, which, together with the National Dairy Show and its seven dairy breeds, will be housed at the heart of the event in the main trade halls.

We’re making the journey to the event much easier this year by working with the LLA and providing free coaches from 19 auction marts across the country. If you prefer to arrive by car, you can still drive straight off the M42 or M6 to free parking. Alternatively travel by train or plane and take a short undercover walk to the event.

We are extremely grateful to our partners, sponsors and exhibitors for their continued support, enabling us to stage the UK’s leading livestock trade event and carry on our work on behalf of British dairy and livestock farmers

Whatever your livestock enterprise – dairy, beef or sheep – and whatever your profession – farmer, manager, herdsman or vet – this event is for you. Don’t miss out. We look forward to seeing you there.

Nick Everington,

RABDF chief executive
