Mzuri’s range of strip tillage drills can now be fitted with a slug pellet applicator. The company says this is not a bolt on unit but an integrated attachment offering safe and efficient operation.

The applicator’s 240-litre hopper is filled while standing on the main hopper platform without having to clamber over rows of coulters. Moreover the pellets are metered out by a system linked to the drill’s existing radar speed measuring system.

Pellets are conveyed pneumatically along individual delivery tubes and broadcast in 125mm-wide bands on the surface of the seeded rows. Price of the Mzuri slug pellet applicator, which can be retrofitted to existing Pro-Til drills, is £6,690.
