Derbyshire firm Shutts Farm Machinery has taken over the import of Finnish-made Elho equipment, including the CrossCut shredder/bedder (pictured).

All functions on the Crosscut are managed from an easy-to-read screen-equipped controller, says the company.

The conveyor speed sensor and proportional valve allow quick changes to the cutting rotor speed, and the discharge chute rotation and the position of the visor adjustment function are accurately controlled by a thumb joystick.

The discharge chute rotates through 320deg and the chopped silage or straw can be blown to the left or right of the machine. The tailgate/bale lift and the floor elevator can also be controlled from the side of the shredder.
