Photos: Great Yorkshire Show breed champions
Northern breeders stole the show at the Great Yorkshire this week (14-15 July), with northern county exhibitors scooping interbreed titles in the dairy, beef, pig and sheep classes.
Here’s a round-up of the award winning beasts
Beef Interbreed
Winning the interbreed for the first time at the Great Yorkshire Show was Redhead and Watson, Northumberland, with their British Blue home-bred heifer Tweeddale Hawkeye.

Dairy Interbreed
Winning the dairy interbreed was David Wright, Kendal, Cumbria, with his second calver Mikali Seaver D Erle.
Sheep Interbreed
Winning supreme sheep championship was the British Charollais Rhaeadr Nock, owned by Charles Marwood from North Yorkshire.
Pig Interbreed
Claiming the pig interbreed was John Sutcliffe’s home-bred Hampshire Boar, Coal Yeat Peterbilt, from Lowick, Cumbria.
