Have you got elephants on your farm?

Bridgwater College hosted 500 school children at its Cannington-based farm last week in an effort to educate them about food and farming.
The Schools to Farm initiative, set up last year by farmer Ian Dyer, aims to get more children onto farms to learn about where their food comes from.
This year’s event saw 500 ten-year olds from 12 schools descend on Rodway Farm, part of the Cannington Centre for Land-Based Studies.
Some of the comments made by children were brilliant (although a little scary) – including the question: “Are there any elephants here?”To find out what other questions they had about farming and to see some pictures from the event visit our Food For Thought blog.
