Date set for memorial service for Ian Potter

A celebration of the life of Ian Potter, the renowned dairy industry analyst and commentator who sadly passed away last month, is to be held on Wednesday 29 March at the Staffordshire Showground, his family has confirmed.

The invitation is open to everyone who knew Ian, but anyone who wishes to attend is requested to respond via an online link in order to give the family an indication of numbers.

The family has asked for no flowers, but a dedicated JustGiving page has been set up in Ian’s memory, with all contributions going directly to Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, which the family are so grateful to.

Ian’s wife Carole and children Harriet, Jack and Lydia released a statement saying: “We look forward to welcoming people on the day, for a tribute to his life, and a celebration that he would have enjoyed and been proud of.

“There is no formal dress code, so please feel free to wear colour if you wish.”

The Staffordshire Showground postcode is ST18 0BD and the What3Words identity is ///fields.beard.lamps

The service will be held in the Ingestre Suite in the members’ pavilion.
