Entries pour in for Farmers Weekly photography competition

Entries have started flooding in for the newly launched Farmers Weekly Photography Competition 2014 .

Among the 100-plus shots already entered for this prestigious contest are the close-up of the bull’s nose (pictured below), captured by FWi gallery user Dobo, and the ploughing picture submitted by Dairygirl18 (pictured right).

The competition is open to any amateur photographer and there are eight categories, covering varied farming and rural topics, The picture we like best from all the category winners will win a £350 cash prize.

Entering is also a great chance to showcase your work, and we’ll be including a selection of your shots in the bumper Christmas issue of Farmers Weekly magazine.

The eight categories are machinery, wildlife, livestock, landscapes and views, people, pets, black-and-white and young snapper.

Entering is quick and easy – you just need to upload your best pictures to one or more of the relevant entry galleries in our website.

It is always nice to see a little information about where and when the picture was taken, so feel free to include a line or two of details when you upload the picture.

The closing date is Friday, 31 October 2014.
