Farmers encouraged to take part in Open Farm Sunday breakfast events

Linking Environment and Farming, the organisation which runs the annual Open Farm Sunday event, is encouraging farmer involvement by hosting a series of 10 breakfast meet-ups for curious farmers and potential new hosts to learn about the event.
The breakfast meetings will take place from 9-11am between 16 February and 4 April, from Cornwall to Cumbria, and will be hosted by existing Open Farm Sunday (OFS) ambassadors.
This, the organisers say, will give farmers an insight into hosting their own event and provide inspiration and new ideas to repeat-hosts.

The first Linking Environment and Farming (Leaf) OFS took place in 2006, and the event has since had a growing uptake of farmers opening their gates to the public, bridging the gap between the rural and wider communities and encouraging public support of British farming.
This year’s main event will return on Sunday 11 June – leaving plenty of time for attending one of the breakfast meetings to hear from current ambassadors.
The full list of dates and locations can be found on the Leaf website along with an online Zoom registration for those unable to attend the event in person.
