Photo of the Week: First day at work for sheepdog puppy
This week’s photo of the the week comes from Emma-Jayne Wagstaff and shows puppy Albert’s first day on the farm.
In the photo too, with Emma-Jayne and Albert, is senior sheepdog Charles, who will be showing the new recruit the ropes.
Emma and Charles will be training the new pup, whose dad is a champion sheepdog, so we expect good things from the apprentice.

Charles and Albert are both named after the second-generation farmers on the family farm – Emma’s granddad and his brother.
As well as taking charge of the training, Emma is a full-time veterinary nurse and helps out on the farm when she is able.
That is one busy schedule, but looking at adorable Albert, the job of training him will be well worth it.
