Photo of the Week: Jeremy Clarkson scarecrow bags a win
This week’s photo of the week is a Jeremy Clarkson scarecrow, sent in by Charlotte Matkin.
It was made by Charlotte’s sons Alfie, aged nine, and Freddie, aged five.
They entered it into the village scarecrow trail, which had the theme “A Great Briton”, and of course, it was judged the best.

The Matkins farm cattle and sheep in Alderwasley in Derbyshire, and Alfie and Freddie love farming, tractors and anything outdoors, says Charlotte.
Charlotte says the were inspired to do the Clarkson scarecrow because, “one, we love his show, Clarkson’s Farm and, two, I think he has helped highlight the struggles that British farmers have with his series”.
We couldn’t agree more.
If you’d like to send your photos in of scarecrows or seasonal pumpkins or Guy Fawkes effigies, or anything farming related, you can upload you photos to the Farmlife Framed photogallery.
We also have our annual photography competition running, if you’d like to enter photos in that.
