Photo of the Week: Sheep shelter from the winter snow

This week’s photo of the week is from Hannah Harmer, who took this photo on a snowy morning in the Shropshire hills.

It features Darcy the Texel cross Suffolk sheep flanked by Dolly and Dotty (Ryeland ewes) sheltering from the snow.

Darcy, Dolly and Dotty are pet sheep who live on the beef and sheep farm.

Darcy was a cade lamb who never made it to market, and Dolly and Dotty were given to Hannah’s daughters after they got very attached to a Ryeland sheep in a local cafe.

Hannah says that Darcy is “a very funny character and sits by our garden gate to be fed every morning, baaing away”.

Well, we think Darcy is a handsome chap, who has definitely been well named.
