Photo of the Week: Wheat harvest coming in at Northfield Farms

The first of the wheat harvest is in for Northfield Farms in Soham, Cambridgeshire with 15% moisture and 11t/ha.
The dramatic skies were captured by photographer George Palmer.

Other crops grown at the farm include sugar beet and maize.
Assistant farm manager Jordan Earl said: “The wet winter certainly made listing sugar beet a challenge.
“Harvest [is] all going well so far for us, [we’ve] had several days in the wheats now but could do with the sun coming back out properly!”
