Farmers Weekly Photography Competition 2016: Winners unveiled

The winners and highly commended entries have been unveiled in the Farmers Weekly Photography Competition 2016.

We received  hundreds of entries, then spent hours looking at them and debating their merits.

Thanks to everyone who entered this year’s contest – we enjoyed looking at every one of your pictures which captured our varied, beautiful and busy countryside in all its guises.

Looking through the images provided a snapshot of the farming year – the scenery, the flora and fauna and the people who live and work in rural areas.

On Friday (23 December) we are announcing the winner and highly commended entries in each of the eight categories.

Keep an eye on FWi in January when we will be naming the “winner of winners” – the one shot from all the category winners that we like the most.
