Get your best farming pictures published in Farmers Weekly

Enjoy taking photos of the countryside? If so, you could see one of your shots appear in a new Farmers Weekly series.

Countryside on Camera will showcase great reader photographs – so if you’ve got any you’re proud of showing farming in action, rural scenes, wildlife, landscapes or people, we’d love to see them.

To launch the series, here’s a great shot from Pete Hiscock. Farmworker Pete reckons he’s never seen as many seagulls as he did when he was out working recently near Newbury in Berkshire.

“I’ve never known them fly so close, either – they were swooping right past the back window of the tractor,” he says.

Taking a brief break from preparing the ground for Propino spring barley, Pete grabbed his cameraphone, swung open the New Holland T7250 window and took what he modestly calls a “snapshot”. “I only realised when I got home, it had come out quite well,” he says.

If you’ve got a photo you’d like considered for Countryside on Camera, email it to fwipictures@rbi.co.uk with a little bit of information explaining where and when it was taken and what was happening in the picture. We’ll publish the best ones in Farmers Weekly magazine.
