Get ready for FW’s harvest 2021 photo competition

Enjoy taking photos with your phone, DSLR or drone? With the start of harvest just around the corner for some, Farmers Weekly is giving you the chance to see one of your harvest 2021 shots grace the front cover of the magazine.

Readers can upload their shots to our online harvest gallery – and the photo we like best will be used for a front cover towards the end of summer.

All you have to do is share your best pictures of machinery, crops, people and landscapes over the coming weeks, by uploading them to the gallery.

We want to see pictures that capture the good and bad of harvest 2021 – the long days and hard graft, the frustrations and joys, the sunshine (or the rain), the sunrises and sunsets, the dust and the dirt, and the people and the kit that make it happen.

We’ll be picking a selection through the season to share on our website, social media channels and in the magazine – so even if yours doesn’t end up the overall winner, you might still see it in your favourite farming read.

The competition is open to non-professional photographers and, even though we enjoy seeing all your images, please bear in mind that the winning image will need to be square in shape (or could be cropped to a square) to appear on FW’s front cover.

The higher the resolution, the better (ideally we need a minimum file size of 2MB).

There is no limit to the number of images you can submit, but they must be your own and taken this year.

When uploading your entries, don’t forget to add a short description telling us where the photo was taken and what it shows.

We look forward to seeing your pictures and, to give you some inspiration, here are the winners and runners-up from 2020.

How to enter
