Hawkstone Farmers Choir set for Royal Welsh debut
© Hawkstone Farmers Choir Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Farmers Choir will make its first official Welsh appearance since winning Britain’s Got Talent when it performs at this year’s Royal Welsh Show.
The choir, which helped put farming in the national spotlight during its run on the ITV programme, will perform in the Main Ring on the opening day of the show on Monday 20 July.
Around 40 members are expected to take part, fulfilling what the group described as a long-held ambition. The choir became the first ever choir to win Britain’s Got Talent when it claimed the 2026 title.

Royal Welsh Agricultural Society chief executive Aled Jones said the appearance would be a highlight of the week.
“Many members of the choir are also members of the Royal Welsh and have a strong connection with the show, which makes their appearance here even more meaningful,” he said.
‘Fairytale journey’
Rosie Jones, the choir’s lead female soloist and a beef and sheep farmer from mid-Wales, said: “What an honour to be invited to sing at the Royal Welsh Show 2026.
“This fairytale journey just keeps growing, but the greatest thing to come from it is the community we’ve built within the choir and beyond.”
Aled Wyn Davies, a sheep farmer from Llanbrynmair, Powys, said the Royal Welsh Show had always been a major date in his calendar.
“I’m so excited to bring my new Hawkstone choir friends to the Royal Welsh Show.
“In my half-century of existence, I have only missed the Royal Welsh once.
“It’s the pinnacle of the year for me, and for the past 24 years I’ve been singing the anthems there before the big Wales v New Zealand shearing test.
“It will be a privilege to sing in that main ring with the Hawkstone Farmers Choir.”
Gwen Woodruffe, an agricultural educator at Butser Ancient Farm in Hampshire, added: “It is the Glastonbury of the agricultural world.
“What an honour to be invited – this is literally a dream come true.”
