Number of farms registered for Open Farm Sunday up 10%
The number of farms taking part in Open Farm Sunday is already up 10% on this time last year, with more than 300 locations signed up.
Now the organisation behind British farming’s day in the public limelight is pushing for more producers to get involved to meet the increased interest from the public and do their bit to promote the industry.
Linking Environment And Farming (Leaf), which is the organising force behind the day, is calling on farmers to fill the remaining gaps across the UK before the event on 9 June 2019.

“It’s the perfect time for farmers to strengthen the connection with their customers, when the industry is being challenged by policy changes, dietary trends and potentially cheap foreign imports,” said Leaf’s Annabel Shackleton.
