‘Tis the season to bring harvest home, and get hitched!

Over the summer we have received lots of fabulous wedding snaps, featuring tractors, wellies, speed shears and Farmers Weekly magazines.

Here are a selection of the happy snaps. Thanks to everyone who sent photos in and congratulations to all the new happy farming couples.

Ben and Yasmin Oakley from Whitchurch, Shropshire, got married on 30 July 2016. Ben is a dairy farmer working on the family farm and all of his ushers work in the agricultural industry.

They managed to get this group of machines together for a convoy to the church and also got the bridesmaids on the pink bales to try and spread the word for breast cancer awareness.

Holly and Will Knight tied the knot on 10 September 2016 and a John Deere was chosen as the most appropriate mode of transport.

We are privileged that Farmers Weekly featured in the wedding decorations for Lucy & Marc Allison’s wedding back on 4 June 2016.

Charlie and Natalie got married on 30 April 2016 and Charlie’s John Deere featured in their special day.

Congratulations to shearer Ross Crang from Blackmore Gate in north Devon who married farmers daughter Gill Manley from Hemyock in east Devon.

A beautiful sunny day at Windsor Farm was topped off by a speed-shearing competition watched by the 400 wedding guests.

On Saturday 18 June 2016 Richard Stevenson married Hannah Bullivant in Newton-under-Roseberry in Cleveland, with the reception held at Trout Hall (the groom’s farm).

Mrs Roworth braved the tractor passenger seat in her wedding dress. The newleyweds travelled back in a Fendt from their wedding at Babworth Church, Retford.

Matthew (second from left) and Felicity Styles tied the knot on 21 May. “Of course he had to have a tractor there and being a horsey girl myself I just had to wear wellies and get the bridesmaids to wear them too!” said Felicity. 

They are a “made in young farmers” couple, who met through Suffolk YFC and have been together four years.
