PHOTOS: Charity tractor boys complete challenge

A group of agriculture students and young farmers have completed their 2,000-mile vintage tractor around Britain for charity Help for Heroes.

The drive, in a vintage TE-20 Grey Ferguson began on 24 June in Dover and completed on 9 July in John O’Groats.

The drive dubbed “the Grey Fergie Challenge” certainly turned out to challenge and a half.

Numerous break-downs, rain and an accidental detour did not dampen the boys’ enthusiasm and determination to meet the goal.

Their spokesman, Sean Nixon said:  “I am proud to support Help for Heroes. I am pleased to have completed this challenge and not be let-down by the various mishaps that this challenge has brought us.”

The group, supported by Barber’s 1833, BOCM Pauls, and Red Lynch Tractors, are still hoping to collect further donations for the charity, more details on their website.
