PICTURE STORY: Farmers battle on with spraying in wet weather conditions

Farmers Weekly and FWi readers continue to send in their pictures showing how they are coping with the wet weather conditions.

These pictures sent in by farmer and contractor Neil Webster from Mere Brow in Lancs shows his solution to spraying in waterlogged conditions. He got out a John Deere 8520T to enable work to continue.

Earlier, this month, the wet weather also pushed Chris Elvidge, technical manager at G H Chennells Farms Ltd at North Scarle, between Newark and Lincoln, to use desparate measures to apply blight sprays to potatoes. “Never before have we had to resort to this,” he said.
