The artwork, created live by Worksop College year 10 pupil Henry, became a talking point at the show as visitors returned to see the portrait gradually emerge from a blank canvas.
Known to viewers as “Cheerful Charlie”, Mr Ireland has become a familiar face through his role alongside Jeremy Clarkson, providing practical advice on the realities of running a farm business.

Away from television, Mr Ireland is an agricultural consultant with Ceres Rural specialising in farm management and strategic planning.
He has worked with Mr Clarkson since 2009, helping the farming business navigate commercial and regulatory challenges.
A cheerful visitor
During the show, Mr Ireland visited the Worksop College and Ranby House stand, where he met pupils, staff and members of the public. He also reflected on his own time at the school.
Worksop College headmaster Charles Bailey said it had been a pleasure to welcome the former pupil back.
“He spoke warmly about his time here, recalling memories from his boarding days.
“Charlie has achieved tremendous success in the agricultural industry, yet remains incredibly grounded and generous with his time.
“I’m also pleased to say that he really is cheerful in real life!”

Mr Ireland attended Worksop College between 1990 and 1995 before studying agriculture at the University of Nottingham.
The portrait remained on display throughout the Lincolnshire Show, with many visitors stopping to admire both the likeness of the well-known farming figure and the talent of the young artist who created it.
