Thompsons of York appoints poultry specialist

Feed supplier Thompsons of York has appointed a poultry specialist to their team as they look to grow their share of the poultry feed and layer market.

Harry Atkinson joins Thompsons as part of a new investment programme to diversify the business which has seen a blending facility construction at their feed mill to offer specialised feed to their customers.

Mr Atkinson comes to the company with a degree in agriculture and business from Reading University and experience working with a national compound producer.
