Will Max Clifford think yours is the face of British Food Fortnight?

Do you have a face that sums up all that’s best about this country’s delicious food and wonderful farming industry? A face that conveys the characteristics of which we can be proud – wholesomeness, hard work, integrity, a sense of tradition, healthiness and a bright future.

Farmers Weekly has teamed up with the organisers of British Food Fortnight to find a “face” to front this year’s BFF marketing campaign.

The winning person’s face will appear on the tens of thousands of BFF posters and other promotional literature associated with this prestigious nationwide event. These appear in village shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, schools and farms across the nation.

If you think you could have that face, we’d like to see a photo of you by Tuesday 23 March 2010. Perhaps you’ll be a ruddy-cheeked, 60-year-old-farmer with sideburns? A 21-year-old fresh faced agricultural college student? A farmer’s wife? A teenager, passionate about forging a career in the countryside? Whatever your face looks like, if you think it could front this campaign, then get in touch.

How to enter

You can email your photo to fwfarmlife@rbi.co.uk

Include a line or two about yourself, explaining what your connection with farming or the countryside is, along with a contact number. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 23 March 2010.

We’ve got a rather special judge who’ll be helping the FW and BFF judges pick a winner from our shortlist – PR guru Max Clifford.

The agent-to-the-stars is a big supporter of British food and farming and will be giving us the benefit of his huge public relations experience to help pick the face that’s right for the BFF campaign.

The winner will also receive a £300 Great Inns Gift Voucher, allowing them to stay in any of the 22 independently owned, historic Great Inns across the UK and sample award winning menus, using the freshest, regional produce and locally sourced ingredients.
