Win £700 in the Gamekeeper of the Year Award

If you know a great gamekeeper there is still time to nominate him or her for the prestigious Farmers Weekly/CLA Gamekeeper of the Year Award 2007.
We’re looking for keepers whose expertise makes the difference both to the sport on shoot days and to the wider countryside through their work with nature and wildlife.
There are some great prizes – including £700 – on offer, and nominating a keeper is easy.
Nominations can be made by an employer, a colleague, beater, gun, friend, relative or neighbour. Gamekeepers are also welcome to nominate themselves.
How to Nominate:
The award is open to all full- and part-time employed gamekeepers in the UK. Nominations for keepers who have been put forward in other years are welcome, but previous finalists are not eligible. We do not need excessively detailed information at the nominations stage, but the more information you can give us the better chance the keeper stands of progressing into the next stage of the competition.
Tell us what you can about:
The gamekeeper’s working methods
Attitude to wildlife and conservation
Any schemes implemented to benefit wildlife
Involvement, if any, with the wider issues of country sports or their promotion
The shoot – type, size, location, number of shoot days
Say why he or she should win the award
What you could win:
£400 in cash for the winner and £150 each for both runners-up, plus an engraved hip flask each, tickets for the CLA Game Fair, overnight hotel accommodation for two and dinner with the other finalists. The Award and prizes will be presented at the CLA Game Fair which runs from July 27-29. The finalists will also be profiled in Farmers Weekly.
