Collective land auction in south west

Auctions are increasingly popular for smaller parcels of land, with Carter Jonas choosing this method for the sale of two lots of just over 20 acres each in December.

At its regular Bath auction on 14 December the firm is selling 20.32 acres of grassland in one block at Sutton Benger, Chippenham, with a guide price of £90,000-100,000.

Another 20.26 acres known as Manor Clay Pit, Corfe Mullen, Poole will go under the hammer on the same day with a guide price of £110,000-150,000. This site includes a part-worked clay pit with planning permission to extract an estimated 400,000 tonnes of clay. (Carter Jonas 01249 706 070)
