‘Eco-friendly’ Cornish estate up for sale

Penny Dart of Savills’ Exeter office will be launching Tregavethan Manor near Truro, Cornwall, next week.

The 226-acre estate includes a four-bed Cornish manor house and three let cottages that generate an annual income of £20,000.

There is also an award-winning “eco-friendly” holiday cottage.

Strong demand

Mrs Dart has priced the property at almost £3m , but has also split it into eight lots. She said the mainly arable land was valued at about £4000/acre.

Although she said it looked like the sort of farm that would be snapped up by a “lifestyle”  buyer, strong demand from farmers had already proved her wrong this year.

“It is a delightful working farm with productive arable and pasture land and an excellent range of buildings.

“The pretty location of Tregavethan Manor is set to act as a magnet with interest from a whole host of potential buyers,” she added.
