Galbraith looks to buy borders agent

Scottish agent CKD Galbraith says it is in talks to acquire the business of Borders agent Buccleugh John Sale.

The proposed deal would see CKD Galbraith’s network expand into the Borders with offices at Peebles, Galashiels and Kelso. The Buccleugh Group – owned by Scotland’s biggest landowner, the Duke of Buccleugh – acquired John Sale in April 2004.

Subject to due diligence process, it is expected the deal could be completed within a month.
