Shropshire auction sale

SHROPSHIRE LAND agent Halls auctioned  191 acres of grazing land at Gwern-y-Go Hill Farm, Sarn, on the Powys border on July 26.

The land was sold in three lots for £278,500 (£1458/acre).

Lot 1: £100,000 (52 acres)
Lot 2: 80,000 (65 acres)
Lot 3: 98,500 (74 acres)

“All three lots were purchased by local farmers,” said the firm’s Peter Willcock.

Halls was also due to auction Banktop Farm at Ditton Priors, near Bridgnorth, on July 27.

However, agent Roger Sadler said an offer had been made and accepted for the 77-acre county council small holding prior to auction.
