Shropshire farm set for September auction

A 169-acre farm at Melverley, near Oswestry in Shropshire, is up for auction as a whole or in up to nine lots, on 17 September.

An executors’ sale, Hendre Farm comprises a substantial traditional farmhouse needing modernisation (guided with 18 acres at £750,000), traditional and modern buildings, and good pasture, some of which lies along the banks of the River Vyrnwy. There is potential for both amenity and agricultural use, says the agent, Roger Parry & Partners.

Auction guides range from £8000 for less than two acres, up to £200,000 for a 60-acre block of pasture.
