Balmachie Keystone takes Aberdeen-Angus champion
First time exhibitor to the Royal Highland Show, John Lascelles was incredibly pleased yesterday as he took the champion Aberdeen-Angus top spot with Balmachie Keystone, a two year old bull owned in partnership with Pippa Robson and family.
Keystone is sired by The Moss Mr Eshton, a bull owned in a joint partnership with James Porter and the McLaren family, and is out of the famous cow Kim of Fordafourie, owned in partnership with John Lascelles and the McLarens.
The Lascelles team also took the junior championship with one of his favourite bulls Balmachie Black Bear, one that has caused a stir since first being seen out in calf classes. This one is by Rawburn Lord ross out of Blelack Blackbird E350.
Taking the reserve spot was the female champion Drumdow Elsa G548 out of The Moss Mr Espresso out of Drumdow Elsa B118.
