BCMS makes statement errors
FARMERS ARE being told to disregard the third issue of cattle statements that have been sent out to some cattle keepers by the British Cattle Movement Service.
The service has issued the unusual advice after omissions from the statements were identified.
BCMS has written to farmers who received the statements and asked them to disregard the documents without taking any further action.
It has also reassured keepers that any information already returned to them will be processed normally.
BCMS said it wished to stress that the information on the Cattle Tracing System Database was sound.
“The statements will now be issued early in the New Year to avoid the Christmas post and troubling farmers over the festive period,” it added.
