RIVALRY WILL reach fever pitch at Frome Market next week when two great friends go head-to-head in the cattle show ring at the Christmas Fatstock Show.

Karina Heritage and Emily Brown – both from local farming families and both strong supporters of the annual show – will see their animals line up against each other next Wednesday (Dec 1) at the Somerset venue.

Karina is keen to dislodge Emily, who is the Fatstock Show”s reigning champion having taking the Supreme Championship last year with her homebred 17-month-old Charolais, which weighed 580kg and made 178p/kg. She also collected the reserve Supreme Champion with a Belgian Blue heifer that made 182p/kg.
