Cirencester Christmas champ sell for 355p/kg

The Christmas Primestock show and sale at Cirencester saw a strong show of quality cattle with the overall supreme champion selling for 355p/kg.

The show winner was a 530kg British Blue x heifer from Mr A Albutt, Great Washbourne selling to Mutchmeats, Witney, Oxon. The reserve champion was a 620kg British Blue x steer from M/s D and S Cheacker, Pilning, selling to 270p/kg, again purchased by Mutchmeats Ltd, Witney, Oxon.

The prime lambs saw the champion lambs consigned by M/s P and C Houldey, Hasfield, selling to 310p/kg for 43½kg  £135 purchased by The Golden Heart, Nettleton Bottom, who also purchased the reserve champion at 237p/kg £89 for 37½kg from Mr A Goscombe, Hillesley. (Voyce Pullin Markets)
