Colostrum teats add colour

SOFTER TEATS make feeding colostrum and suckling easier, according to Dairy Spares which has launched the new yellow Milk Bar colostrum teats.

These teats will help ensure calves receive the nutrients and antibodies needed in the critical first 12 hours of life, when they are used for the first two to three feeds while calves are fed colostrum, says the company.

Rearers can purchase a three-compartment colostrum feeder or substitute yellow teats in their existing Milk Bar feeder, it adds.

Teats cost 2.50 each and the feeder costs 69.50 (01948 667 676; fax 01948 666 505).
